Tips For Washing Windows At Your Business

Next, remove the screens from the window and begin cleaning them. You can do this with a garden hose. Wipe the screen with a cloth or scrub with light soap if necessary. They will dry on their own if you set them aside.

On a cloudy day (to avoid quick drying), spray the windowpanes with water from a garden hose. You can also use a light detergent to clean off any debris. You can dry the window with a squeegee to prevent drips and streaking. If anything is particularly troublesome to scrub away, use a sponge and saturate the debris in cleaner. You can also use a razor blade to remove hard particles.

Wash Windows From the Inside

When you wash windows from the inside, you have some extra challenges. For example, you want to wash the windowsill, frames, and surrounding trim without damaging the walls or wood around it. Spray cleaner on your rag and wipe the panes rather than trying to spray the window itself. You can also put a rag over the wood to avoid drips and leaks from falling onto the wood.

If your business has blinds over the window, now is a great time to spray them with an anti-static spray. This prevents dust from taking hold of your blinds in the future.

Use a mild detergent to wipe the glass on the windows, and then use a squeegee to dry the area and prevent streaks, especially on a sunny day.
